Inclusion in the Blue Note portfolio family of supplier partners and products is an exclusive one.
We prefer to work with the selectively rich base of relationships we have built over the years and carefully expand with only those who deliver the very best quality and value.
The world of wine, spirits and premium saké is about celebrating the pleasures of life and we at Blue Note embrace them at every possible opportunity. We celebrate our wins and rally to the challenges. Our annual retreats "Blue-Lapalooza" are becoming legendary - Team Blue Note's escape to celebrate great wine, food, music and laughter.
At Blue Note we promote and actively participate in programs that allow us to pour out our spirit of generosity.
We work harder making this world a better place for ourselves, our clients, our producer partners and our greater community.
In addition to supporting important local causes we also look beyond our borders to help those who can use a boost through organizations like KIVA.org, a micro lending site. Through our contributions that we choose as a team, our aid supports a variety of people or groups that have a vision and need for funds to grow their activities that in turn contribute back to their community.

I see myself just as much as the ‘k.i.d.’ (key inspirational director) as I am the president of Blue Note.
In both roles, I work closely with my team of professionals to exceed our goals as we honour our core values.
In my spare time you can usually catch me at live music shows, exploring new foods and wines, swimming and making the world a better place by introducing people to our amazing portfolio of wines, spirits and premium saké.
I have been the saké samurai for Blue Note since 2005.
Born in Okinawa, Japan, I moved to Canada when I was younger and am able to embrace both cultures.
I play golf EVERY Sunday regardless of weather, rain, snow or shine!
If you have any questions about Japanese sake, please just ask… I will be more than happy to help!
Originally from Victoria, BC, I loved cooking from an early age. My passion for wine developed while spending time in Australia in my early 20′s. My Nomadic lifestyle took me to Europe / London to work in the music industry, which later continued on in Canada. Looking to pursue a career in wines and spirits, I completed Level 3 WSET Certification and at Blue Note enjoy the best of both worlds!
I have worked in the consumer goods and wine beverage industry for much of my career. Born and raised in Vancouver, I am truly a lover of the West Coast and all it has to offer. At the top of my list of leisure activities, I enjoy boating and spending time on the water in the Gulf Islands. I can also be found heading to Palm Dessert or Mexico for some winter sun.
My passion for wine led me to enrol in the WSET program where I completed Level 3 Certification. Wine started as more of a hobby of mine but 9 years ago it transitioned in to a career and the rest is history! Some of my favourite activities include tent trailering with my family, watching the kids soccer games, basically anything outdoors and enjoying food and wine with friends. I’m very excited to be a part of the Blue Note team!
I perceived Blue Note’s ethics and joined in 2007. An extensive career as a terroir-toting sommelier includes time at Barefoot Bistro, the Wickanninish Inn, Spinnakers, Sips, Brentwood Bay Lodge, and a quarter century at Sooke Harbour House. I was awarded Sommelier of The Year for Canada in 2005 by Air Canada.
My true love is my muse, but I am zealous about food and cooking. My other passion, baseball, has seen me sample hotdogs at fifteen MLB parks across North America. After years in the industry at other agencies, I joined Blue Note in 2009. I am one of a handful of Certified Sake Specialists in Canada.
